Facilities Management is Bradford Council’s in-house education caterer, providing food services to schools and colleges. But school dinners aren’t what they used to be! The organisation wanted to push Indian street food as one of its many offerings, making the experience more like getting street food from Trinity Kitchen in Leeds than from their school canteen. No chicken twizzlers here!

There are 22 different Indian languages that have been given official recognition. I wanted to hint at this rich heritage through the logo’s type design, to give it an authentic feel while making it clear and accessible to Bradford’s diverse student population. I added the patterns and bold Indian-inspired colours to match the vibrancy of Indian food and to make the brand stand out against the humdrum cafeteria environment.
